James was from a family of peasants living in 1500’s Spain. He was a conquistador during the time of Spain’s New World Exploration.

Since he has immortal blood, after he was killed James knew he had to leave the area otherwise people would start to question what had happened to him if they saw he was walking around after being dead.  He wandered around practically everywhere, picking up odd jobs here and there, only staying for 10 years at the most at each location so no attention was drawn to him. Eventually he made his way to Los Angeles where he found the coliseum. He was raised a fighter, so since it was the only thing he really knew everything about the coliseum called to him. After being alive for so long James started becoming bored with life, which is when he started becoming reckless and arrogant. James has never let anyone close to him since he died since he needed to keep his secret safe. He thought the coliseum would bring some excitement and possibly a way out. He lives on the edge, without a care in the world. James comes off as, to put it bluntly, a jerk, a flirt, a whore, conceited, and snappy; and that’s all because he is. 

Even though he has seen the world revolutionize and become futuristic, he is still stuck in the period of his youth. He refuses to wear the contemporary clothing. However, since he has been at the coliseum for so long he’s living the highlife in a penthouse in the heart of LA, going out every night and bringing home a new girl each time, and drives a motorcycle. The motorcycle is as modern as he will give into, he thinks it’s the new version of a horse.
